It looks like a damn racecar. Clad in the Yamainu Works Martini styled livery, you'd be forgiven for mistaking this for a showcar that once roared around circuits in the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft. The truth is both more mundane and more interesting.
Developed atop a Porsche 924 Carrera GTS, and rocking a GTR inspired bodykit, The Yamainu was built to maximise excitement and driving pleasure when carving through mountain roads. A stiffer suspension setup, and upgraded brakes make for an impressively spirited ride, despite the core chassis' age. Of course sheer handling is but one side of the coin. A substantial engine rebuild that pushes power output towards the 400 hp figure, makes pushing the pedal to the metal a dangerous proposition.
The aggressive styling and the optional Martini livery may mask the simple fact that this is indeed still a road car. I'm confident it will serve you well at any track day, but to truly feel it's spirit, take it to your local mountain pass and let her guide you to the summit. Do you have the confidence to see what shes' truly capable of?
Raw performance and driving feel is of course key here at C13 Automotive. But style is an equally crucial component. We've worked tirelessly to prepare a set of interior specifications that match the chosen paints, allowing you personal expression. Which will be your favourite?
Very few cars compare to The Yamainu. Scary power in a vintage front engine Porsche shell, but with just enough modern flair to give you that extra bit of confidence when throwing it around both twisty mountain roads, and the corners of C1 alike.
This project was a labour of love and dedication, and it wouldn't have been possible without all the people who worked on it, and my sincerest gratitude goes out to all of them. But beyond the team that made the car possible, i'd also like to express my heartfelt thanks to all C13 Automotive supporters who, in a very real way, make these projects possible at all.
